QUALIFICATIONS
The Northern Rivers Conservatorium Arts Centre delivers nationally recognised, accredited qualifications in Music and Screen under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). The AQF is a structure of recognised, endorsed and quality assured qualifications that promotes lifelong learning and provides pathways through Australia’s education and training system.

In the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector, peak bodies from many different industries have developed and approved Training Packages, which detail the skills and knowledge individuals must demonstrate in order to receive qualifications in that industry under the AQF.

NRCAC is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), and delivers qualifications from the Music Training Package (CUS01 and CUS09) and the Screen and Media Training Package (CUF07). RTOs are registered under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF), which sets out required standards in administration, governance, and training and assessment. NRCAC is registered in New South Wales by the NSW Department of Education and Training, specifically the Vocational Education & Training Accreditation Board (VETAB).
Qualifications available:
Under the AQF, students must successfully attain 14 units of competency from the Music Training Package to be awarded a Certificate IV, or 16 units for a Diploma. Students are provided with foundation skills and knowledge in all areas throughout the training programme, as well as the opportunity to apply and develop these skills progressively throughout the course in order to achieve competency.
