CERTIFICATE IV IN MUSIC

This dynamic, hands-on full-time course has been redesigned in 2011, and is aimed at bands and performers wanting to get a head start in the music industry. Students will work in bands to write, perform and record songs throughout the year, and also develop artwork and an online presence. This main focus will be supported by classes in music theory, songwriting, music business, technology, as well as a workshop and one-on-one lesson in studentsʼ major instrument/voice each week.
The course is designed for existing bands who are ready to get serious, as well as individual performers who will be teamed up with other students to work with during the course. Guided and facilitated by our expert, industry professional teaching staff, students will develop their creativity, teamwork and communication skills as well as their technical skills on their instrument. All the while developing their own musical voice, and gaining valuable experience in live performance and in the recording studio.
With this exciting new project-based approach, students will learn what it takes to work successfully in a band, and will leave the course with a demo and promo pack they can use to pursue their goals in the music industry.
