Piano Day

Piano day with a teacher from Sydney Conservatorium
Proposed Program:
9:00 a.m. registration for younger students, beginners to grade 3.
9:30 to 11:00 Session focussing on reading games, rhythm games and master class performances for those who wish to perform.
Teachers who bring students are free.
11:15 Master classes for grades 4 -8 where students perform a piece (or more, depending on numbers attending) and the visiting artist comments on issues that arise. More master class performances with inclusion of duet playing (optional).
3:40 visiting artist performs to the participants.
4:15 to 5:15 Teachers will have an hour to consult with the visiting artist.

String Day with Alex Wentzel
String Day with Alex Wentzel for the Sydney Conservatorium
The day will commence with a session for students who have been learning for up to two years, discussing the problems that arise for beginners. Some students may wish to play to the group and receive comments from the visiting teacher. Teachers are free if they have students attending.
11:00 a.m. Students who are at grade 2 -8 will have the opportunity to play in master class sessions. If any students would like to prepare duets or small ensemble pieces they could be included in the afternoon session along with more solos. Lunch is provided.
3:40 the teacher will perform for 20 minutes.
4:15 teachers may consult with the visiting artist in a forum session.
