DANCE Certificate II and IV

We are sorry to announce that there will be NO dance courses for 2008.

NRCAC has full time accredited dance programs at Cert II and Cert IV levels. These courses are VETAB accredited and AUSTUDY approved.

The Northern Rivers Conservatorium also has Community Dance classes in contemporary dance, jazz and ballet. These run after school and cater mostly for children. Evening classes are held throughout the year in various styles, from hip-hop to salsa.

From time to time we run summer workshops for high school students, and we are available to year 11 and 12 students through the VET (Vocational Education Training) program.

HEAD OF DANCE Michael Hennessy Head of Dance, Michael Hennessy holds a Bachelor of Social Science (major Physical Education) and is a graduate from The Victorian College of The Arts. He is a former member of the Sydney Dance Company and has performed with them both nationally and internationally for nine years. As a freelance artist Michael has choreographed and produced his own works and has worked in the TV and music industry. He has taught at the University of Western Sydney , Nepean and NAISDA. In 1993 he established the dance course at the NRCAC and remains committed to regional Dance Development.
