CERTIFICATE IV IN SCREEN (VETAB)AWith a focus on post production this course provides an opportunity to take part in film making from inception through to post production with actors, composer and industry professionals. Click here for Semester Dates in 2008 more clipsAIMS OF THE COURSEThis course is aimed specifically at teaching post production and video editing skills using digital technology (Final Cut Pro). Our broad aim however, is to provide a well rounded experience of both the artistic and practical aspects of short film making. Throughout this project students will gain insight into film making processes from pre to post production. The course will entail both practical and theoretical work and will be delivered as units of competency towards a Certificate IV in Screen. It will run for 16 weeks with approximately 12.5 hours face-to-face teaching over 2-3 days per week. Some time will be allocated for shooting the film. 85% attendance record is recommended in order to fulfil assessment requirements for the units covered in the course.
